Shelly DeRousse Elected as an Officer of the Board of Directors of Women’s Bar Foundation

Stahl Cowen Partner Shelly DeRousse was elected as an Officer of the Board of Directors of the Women's Bar Foundation at the Board's first quarterly meeting for 2010. Shelly is a Vice-President and Co-Chair of the Event Committee. In that position, she will plan and organize the Women's Bar Foundation's annual scholarship reception. The Women’s Bar Foundation was established in 1966 for the purpose of providing scholarships, awards or other financial aid for the study of law in accredited law schools in the State of Illinois to deserving and qualified women. Since that time, the Foundation has awarded over 260 scholarships totaling over $1.1 million. At the annual scholarship reception, the Women's Bar Foundation awards scholarships to exceptional women who are in law school or who are attorneys currently practicing public interest law.
