Richard Cowen Re-Appointed as Commissioner of the Chicago Board of Elections

Congratulations to Stahl Cowen Partner Richard Cowen who has been appointed to a 6^th term as Commissioner of the Chicago Board of Elections. Richard was sworn in on January 20, 2010 for a three year term. Richard has been one of three Commissioners at the Board since 1995. The Commissioners are responsible for the overall direction of the Board, staff and the conduct of elections of Chicago. Appointments to the Board are made by the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Timothy C. Evans. The Board currently consists of two Democrats and one Republican, with Richard being the sole Republican.
